CEFR and speaking practice
Turn a question about your English level into speaking practice
A level label leaves you with another decision: what to practise. Start by explaining an experience, giving an opinion, or answering a question in your own words.
Eligible accounts get their first conversation free, up to 30 minutes. No coupon code. The next screen opens the app store or web signup for your device.
CEFR and speaking practice
Use a clear task to find your next practice step
On this page, you can prepare a conversation and review feedback on your speech. It does not assign a CEFR band. Zeeggle’s separate in-app level assessment currently uses Korean instructions and results. If you need a certificate, check which assessment your school or employer accepts.
Make the practice task a little more demanding
Explain a familiar situation
Describe your routine with enough detail for someone else to follow. Start with the vocabulary you already use.
Give a reason for an opinion
Choose a topic you care about. State your view and explain why you hold it.
Handle a follow-up question
Respond to a question you did not rehearse. Review a sentence from the exchange when your session report is ready.
Choose a task you can start now
- Describe your typical weekend to someone who has never visited your city.
- Would you rather work alone or in a team? Explain your choice with an example.
- Describe a plan that changed unexpectedly. Explain how you responded and what you learned.
An example of making your meaning clearer
Educational example, not a customer result. Your feedback depends on what you say in your conversation.
“I prefer work in team because we can share idea.”
“I prefer working in a team because we can share ideas.”

Before you start
- Can I take a CEFR level test in English here?
- This page offers speaking practice. Zeeggle also has an in-app level assessment, but its instructions and results are currently in Korean. Starting a conversation from this page does not award a CEFR level or certificate.
- Do these prompts correspond to specific CEFR bands?
- These are practice prompts, not calibrated test items. Completing one does not establish a CEFR band. Use them to notice what you can explain and what needs more practice.
- What happens after my first conversation?
- A saved conversation includes a session report. Speak at least five times so the session can be saved. Reports are prepared after the conversation; the app usually says within two hours, and some take longer. Follow-up review exercises require a subscription.
Choose one idea and explain it in English
Eligible accounts get their first conversation free, up to 30 minutes. A saved session includes a report prepared afterward. The free allocation has a two-hour window and ends when a session is saved.
